Traulsen, Hobart and Vulcan Announce the Final Winner of Save Your Kitchen 2024

FORT WORTH, Texas (November 15, 2024) – ITW Food Equipment Group is proud to announce the fourth winner of the Save Your Kitchen 2024 campaign sweepstakes. The Ross Local School District, Hamilton, Ohio won by random selection in the fourth drawing of 2024. 

This eleventh iteration of the popular K-12 kitchen equipment makeover initiative kicked off this April. Save Your Kitchen contest provides free Traulsen, Hobart and Vulcan kitchen equipment to four winning sweepstake entrants each year.  Ross LSD is the fourth recipient of the new kitchen equipment prize package.

Ross LSD serves both the Ross and Morgan townships in the southwest corner of Butler County, Ohio. It currently serves 2845 students in grades PK-12, and their roots go back as far as the 1800s.  Due to continued growth, a new high school opened its doors in 2005, and three other buildings have since received additions and underwent extensive renovations. RLSD’s mission is to recognize the uniqueness and potential of all learners and will develop each one academically, socially, and emotionally.

RLSD selected a One-Section Traulsen Pass-Thru Refrigerator featuring more than 24 cubic feet of storage and advanced technology such as a Variable Speed Compressor (VSC), Traulsen’s StayClear™ Condenser coil and Smart Control^TM. Their Hobart selection is the FP150 continuous-feed food processor. This product can process up to 14 pounds of vegetables and fruit per minute and features a large, removable full-size feed hopper that minimizes the need for pre-cutting to cut down on prep time.

Their Vulcan prize selection is the Vulcan VBP15 Warming Cabinet. This heavy-duty holding cabinet features a blower motor that gently distributes heat to keep the cabinet at a consistent temperature from top to bottom, resulting in better food quality and less food waste.

Trousdell continued, “The heated cabinet will be operated in the middle school, along with the food processor. The refrigerator will go to one of the elementary schools. The sweepstakes is open to K-12 nutrition professionals in the 50 states and Washington, D.C. Among the products offered in this year’s sweepstakes are Traulsen refrigerators, a freezer, or a milk cooler plus a Centerline™ by Hobart slicer or mixer, or a Hobart food processor, and a Vulcan heated holding cabinet for all four sweepstakes. A Baxter, Mini Rotating Rack Gas Convection Oven and a Hobart AM16 base dish machine were included in the July sweepstakes only.
